The Nigerian Football Legend Segun Odegbami had called on meaningful Nigerians to show support to Nigerian ex super eagle goal keeper Peter Fregene as his condition is said to be critical and he is lieing lifeless in the hospital.
He said “Peter Fregene is in the hospital and on life support. His situation is critical,” Odegbami revealed in a statement.What Peter Fregene needs the most now are our collective prayers that the will of His Creator be done!”
In response to this appeal , three Nigerians anonymously pledged full support for the treatment and Segun used the medium to thank everyone who showed concern and were willing to support.
He further probed the Nigerian sports sector for not having a well structured welfare package for active and retired athletes.
However sports activities has proved to be a unification mechanism for the Nigerian state as show of empathy and support flows for the Nigerian legend who represented Nigeria in the 1982 African Cup of Nations.
