Music superstar Cardi B and NFL wide receiver Stefon Diggs are expecting their first child together. The Grammy-winning rapper officially confirmed the news, which had been the subject of fan speculation for months, during a pre-taped interview with Gayle King on “CBS Mornings.”
“I’m having a baby with my boyfriend, Stefon Diggs,” Cardi B stated during the sitdown. The rapper, who recently divorced her former husband Offset, expressed her happiness with the new chapter. “I feel like I’m in a good space. I feel very strong. I feel very powerful that I’m doing all this work, but I’m doing all this work while I’m creating a baby.”
This will be the fourth child for the “Bodak Yellow” artist. She shares two daughters, Blossom and Kulture, and a son, Wave, with her ex-husband, fellow rapper Offset. For Diggs, a four-time NFL Pro Bowler, this will be his second child; he has an 8-year-old daughter named Nova from a previous relationship.
The pregnancy announcement coincides with a busy professional period for Cardi B. She is preparing to launch her first-ever headlining arena tour to support her upcoming second studio album, “Am I the Drama?” and is also slated to perform at Coachella in 2025. The baby is expected to arrive before the tour begins in February.
Romance rumors between the couple first started in October of last year. They made their relationship public in May 2025, when they were seen sitting courtside together at a New York Knicks playoff game at Madison Square Garden. The baby’s due date could fall close to Super Bowl LX, which is scheduled for February 8 in the San Francisco Bay Area.
When asked by reporters in the New England Patriots locker room about any planned celebrations, Diggs gave a brief response on Wednesday, saying, “We’ll see.” The receiver, who signed a three-year contract with the Patriots this offseason, has 89 receiving yards through the first two games of the season after recovering from a torn ACL he suffered last year with the Houston Texans.
