Sixteen people narrowly escaped death on Monday night in an accident involving a Camry car, a Suzuki bus, and a tricycle at Iron Market along the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway.The Ota Divisional Commander of the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps, Mr. Salau Hammed, confirmed the incident to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday, stating that the crash occurred around 8:20 p.m.According to him, the accident involved a Camry car and a tricycle, both without registration numbers, and a Suzuki bus with registration number KRD 246 YK.He disclosed that 16 people were involved in the accident, with three victims;two men and a woman, sustaining varying degrees of injuries.Hammed explained that the Camry lost control due to excessive speed and crashed into the other two vehicles. “The injured victims were immediately rushed to Adetutu Hospital in the Ilepa area for medical attention,” he said.He advised motorists to avoid speeding in order to prevent road crashes.Hammed added that the damaged vehicles were promptly removed to allow for smooth traffic flow.
