The Oyo State Police Command has arrested a 26-year-old school gateman, Josiah Ayomide, for allegedly defiling a four-year-old pupil of his school.
According to the state Police Public Relations Officer, Adewale Osifeso, the victim had on August 29, 2025, lodged a complaint of pains in her vagina to her eldest sister.
The victim later told her mother that her school gateman had unlawfully raped her when she was in school.
“The victim was taken to the Police Medical Clinic Eleyele, Ibadan, for a medical examination and treatment, and the medical report revealed that the hymen was not intact, tenderness around the vulva and vagina, with bruises,” Osifeso said.

he will be prosecuted upon completion of an investigation,” Osifeso added.
