The family of veteran Nollywood actress, Peju Ogunmola, has refuted claims circulating online regarding the circumstances surrounding the death of her only son.
In a statement made available to the public, the family explained that contrary to reports that the young man died after slipping and falling in a bathroom, he actually passed away after a brief illness.
“He didn’t die from a fall in the bathroom. He was briefly unwell and passed away at a hospital in Ibadan,” the family clarified.
The clarification comes amid widespread speculations and misinformation about the cause of death, which had triggered reactions on social media.
Peju Ogunmola, a respected figure in the Yoruba movie industry, has been thrown into deep mourning following the tragic loss of her only child. Friends, colleagues, and fans have since been sending their condolences and messages of support to the grieving actress and her family.
