Sokoto State Begins Graduate Recruitment Monday

The Sokoto State Government has announced that its graduate recruitment exercise will officially begin on Monday, September 22, and will run through October 6, 2025.

In a statement issued on Saturday, the Secretary of the Recruitment Committee, Gandi Muhammad, explained that the initiative is aimed at creating employment opportunities for qualified indigenes of the state.

He said interested candidates are to obtain application forms free of charge from their local governments of origin before completing the process online via the official portal: https://employment.sokotostate.gov.ng.

Applicants are required to register with valid email addresses and phone numbers, provide their biodata, and upload supporting documents including educational certificates, proof of indigene, birth certificate, and National Identification Number. Candidates must also take a passport-style photograph while filling out the form online.

Muhammad emphasized that the entire process is free and warned applicants against multiple submissions, noting that such actions could result in disqualification. He added that shortlisted candidates would be notified through their registered email addresses or via the portal, with details of further screening to be communicated officially.

“All applications must be completed between 22nd September and 6th October, 2025,” the statement read.

The committee also advised applicants to ensure they have a stable internet connection during registration and urged residents not to make any payments to individuals for the recruitment exercise.

Governor Ahmed Aliyu had earlier approved the formation of a committee to supervise the recruitment of 3,000 workers into the state civil service across all 23 local government areas. The governor explained that the exercise is part of efforts to tackle unemployment and strengthen critical sectors, while prioritizing opportunities for unemployed graduates with NCE, HND, or degree qualifications.
