President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has left Abuja for the United Kingdom today to commence a two-week vacation as part of his annual leave.
According to a statement by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the president will use the two-week period as a working vacation and a time for reflection on his administration’s ongoing economic reforms. He is expected to return to Nigeria after the leave.
This announcement follows the president’s address during Nigeria’s 64th Independence Day celebration, where he revealed plans for a 30-day National Youth Conference aimed at involving the nation’s youth in his administration.
Tinubu emphasized the importance of empowering young people, who make up over 60% of Nigeria’s population, in shaping the country’s future.
The two-week vacation is expected to give the president time to strategize on these critical issues before his return to Nigeria.
