The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa, has expressed confidence that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will secure an effortless victory in the 2027 general elections.
Obasa made the declaration at the weekend during the launch of “Tinubu 2027” in Ojokoro Local Council Development Area (LCDA), an event organized to mobilize grassroots support for the president’s re-election bid.
Speaking at the carnival-like rally held at the Ojokoro LCDA Playing Ground, Obasa commended the council area for taking the lead in galvanizing support for Tinubu. He urged residents and party members to demonstrate their commitment through action, particularly by intensifying advocacy for eligible voters to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).
He further called for unity within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ojokoro, stressing the importance of harmony among leaders, elected officials, and appointees in the buildup to the elections.
“The President is doing wonderfully well. Within two years, his achievements are unprecedented. We can imagine what more he will still do. Let’s play our parts by being available to our people and drawing them closer. If we do this, I am sure the election will be a walk-over for APC and President Bola Tinubu come 2027,” Obasa said.
Earlier, the coordinator of the initiative, Hon. Emmanuel Olotu, explained that the launch was aimed at reaffirming Ojokoro LCDA as a stronghold of President Tinubu and at consolidating support for his re-election campaign.
