Richard Adamu Tallen : Ex-Minister’s Son Dies at 42

Nigeria’s former Minister of Women Affairs, Pauline Tallen, has lost her only son, Richard Adamu Tallen, who passed away on Saturday, October 5, at Cedar Crest Hospital in Abuja. He was 42 years old.

Richard who had been admitted to the hospital’s intensive care unit on Friday evening for treatment of an undisclosed illness later passed away.

Richard was a graduate of Computer Science from a university in the United States and also attended St. Joseph’s College in Plateau State for his secondary education. His alma mater, Vom Old Boys Association, announced his passing on Facebook, expressing sadness and condolences to the family.

The Vom Old Boys Association’s tribute read: “On a very sad note, we regret to announce the sudden passing of our member, Mr. Richard Adamu Tallen… Eternal rest grant unto him, oh Lord, may perpetual light shine upon him, and may the soul of Richard and all departed VOBA members rest in peace.”

Richard is survived by his wife and three children. His passing has been met with an outpouring of condolences from friends, family, and colleagues. The Tallen family’s resilience and strength during this difficult time are a testament to their unwavering commitment to one another. Burial arrangements are expected to be announced by the family in due course.
