Nigerian singer, Obumneme Ali, popularly known as Smash and one-half of the music duo Bracket, has described the long-running feud between the P-Square brothers, Peter and Paul Okoye, as “spiritual.”
Smash made this statement during a recent episode of the AFRIMMA Podcast on Monday, where he appeared alongside his bandmate, Vast.
According to Smash, he is closer to Paul but has a good relationship with Peter, who he says listens to him. He revealed that he once told Paul that the issue with his brother was not ordinary.
“The last time I met Paul I told him his problem with his brother Peter wasn’t normal, that it’s spiritual and he agreed,” Smash said.
He talked about the strong bond the brothers once shared and their passion for the P-Square brand, which also included their older brother, Jude. “If you know how close these guys were and how they worked, you will feel so bad looking at what is going on today. Jude was part of P-Square. Paul and Peter, they loved that brand with so much passion,” he added that he and Vast would not pick sides.
