President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has sworn in seven newly appointed ministers into his cabinet at the Council Chamber of the State House, Abuja.
The ministers were sworn in at a ceremony held at the Council Chamber of Aso Rock Presidential Villa on Monday.
The swearing in ceremony follows the confirmation of the ministers after the screening exercise that took place last week.
On the 23rd of October, 2024, President Tinubu sacked five of his Ministers and appointed seven new ones in his cabinet.
The Senate confirmed the new Ministers namely, Dr Nentawe Yilwatda – Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction; Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi – Minister of Labour & Employment; Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu – Minister of State Foreign Affairs on October 30, 2024.
Others ministers include Dr Jumoke Oduwole – Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Idi Mukhtar Maiha – Minister of Livestock Development; Yusuf Abdullahi Ata – Minister of State, Housing and Urban Development and Dr Suwaiba Said Ahmad – Minister of State Education.
Speaking after the swearing in ceremony, President Tinubu said “Economic recovery is on the horizon,”
“We have a good path to realize our dreams and it is not just only for usit is for our children and grandchildren.” He added.
The President said despite the challenges, the job of re-engineering and retooling the economic path of the country is ongoing and the new Ministers have been called upon to join the team to rescue the country.
