Martins Vincent Otse popularly known as VeryDarkMan( VDM), a Nigerian activist, critic, and social media influencer called out the musician, Portable over the alleged physical assault of a fellow man.
Habeeb Okikiola Badmus popularly known as Portable is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and rapper who was caught physically assaulting a young man who was said to have worked under Portable’s record label at felabration, an annual music festival conceived in 1998 by Yeni Anikulapo-Kuti in memory and celebration of her father Fela Kuti.
The incident happened in a toilet at the event in the video released by VDM on his social media page.
VeryDarkMan called Portable out saying that beating people is not cruise anyone reminding the public of the report of Portable slapping a pastor earlier.
“It is not cruise anymore. See as you dey beat your fellow human being like animal. As I dey watch this video it got to me because if to say I dey there na sound I go sound you as you tinny like that I go match your head for ground …”
VDM further advised the victim to reach out to him to report the case in Abuja if reporting it in Lagos would not yield good results because of Portable’s influence in the city.
Portable replies VeryDarkMan saying “I will bend you, I will mend you. I go cripple you. Online is different from real life. A fïght is not determined by big muscle o, go and ask Charles Okocha how I beat him”
