Veteran Nigerian actor Kunle Afod has reflected on the priceless lessons he has learned during his 38-year journey in the movie industry, emphasizing the fluid nature of relationships in life.
In an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Afod, 51, shared his perspective on the unpredictable dynamics of friendships and enmities.
According to the actor, people should avoid classifying others as permanent friends or enemies, as life’s circumstances can often lead to unexpected changes.
“There are no friends or foes anywhere,” Afod stated. “Someone believed to be a friend can turn out to be a traitor, while a person perceived as an enemy may become instrumental to one’s success.”
Reflecting on his personal experiences since beginning his acting career in 1986, the actor encouraged people to adopt a more open-minded and liberal approach to relationships.
“I’ve learned that the person you consider a friend might hurt you, while the person you see as an enemy might be the one who helps you,” he said.
“It’s a lesson from the two phases of life that everyone should be aware of.”
The actor, who has become a household name in Nollywood, continues to inspire both on and off-screen, drawing from decades of experience in the entertainment industry.
