Nigerian celebrity chef and Guinness World Record holder, Hilda Baci, has announced her plan to embark on another historic feat — this time, to cook the largest pot of Jollof rice in the world.
The award-winning chef revealed that she will be using 250 bags of Basmati rice for the attempt, a bold move aimed at etching her name further into culinary history.
Hilda, who rose to international fame in 2023 after breaking the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon, said the new challenge is not just about setting a record but also about showcasing Africa’s rich food culture, particularly the globally celebrated Jollof rice.
“This is bigger than me,” she said. “It’s about putting Nigeria and West Africa on the global food map again, while celebrating the cultural pride tied to Jollof rice.”
The announcement has since stirred excitement across social media, with fans pledging their support and expressing anticipation for the massive cooking event.
