Nigerian skit maker and content creator, Raji Samad Adetola, widely known as Mr. Sanku Comedy, has died following a fatal car accident.
The crash occurred in the early hours of Monday on the Oyo-Ogbomoso road in Ibadan. Sanku while heading home to Ogbomoso after a shoot in Ilorin, over sped, lost control, crashed his Es350 and spiraled into a canal.
The vehicle, which was also carrying a friend, reportedly veered off the road and crashed into a ditch. Following the accident, Sanku and his friend were rushed to the hospital.
Despite initial reports that he was responding to treatment, both men were pronounced dead a few hours later. Nollywood actress Funmi Awelewa confirmed the news in an Instagram post, stating she had received a message from a student near Bowen Hospital that Sanku was recovering, but her prayers against his death were ultimately unanswered.
Sanku Comedy began his content creation career in 2021 and was celebrated for his distinctive storytelling and comedic style.
