Former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has been handed a 28-day suspension by the British Boxing Board of Control following his knockout loss to Daniel Dubois at Wembley Stadium.
The suspension, which is a routine measure for fighters who suffer a knockout or technical knockout, was confirmed by the Association of Boxing Commissions and Combative Sports
Joshua, 34, endured a tough night, hitting the canvas three times before Dubois delivered the decisive blow with a right hand in the fifth round. This defeat is his fourth, after losses to Andy Ruiz Jr. and Oleksandr Usyk.
Despite concerns raised by former boxer Carl Froch about Joshua’s performance and future in the sport, Joshua remains determined. In a video posted on his social media, he expressed gratitude to his supporters and emphasized his commitment to regaining the world title, stating, “It’s far from over yet.”
