Veteran Nollywood actress Clarion Chukwurah has taken a strong stance against what she describes as malicious falsehoods being circulated about her.
In a recent statement, the actress condemned individuals and blogs spreading misinformation about her personal life and career. According to Chukwurah, such rumours are not only damaging to her reputation but also disrespectful to her decades of contribution to Nigeria’s film industry.
“It is sad that at this stage of my life and career, some people still find it necessary to concoct lies about me. I owe no one any explanation about how I live, but I will not tolerate being defamed or disrespected by faceless cowards,” she said.
The actress, who has featured in countless Nollywood classics and remains one of the industry’s most respected figures, urged the public to disregard the “baseless stories” and instead focus on her work and positive impact.
She further warned rumour-mongers to desist, hinting at possible legal action if the false narratives persist.
