LASUSTECH Hikes Post-UTME Form Fee to ₦10,000 as 2025/2026 Admission Screening Begins

The Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH), Ikorodu, has commenced its online admission screening for the 2025/2026 academic session, with a notable increase in the application fee from ₦2,000 to ₦10,000.

This information was contained in a statement signed by the Registrar and Secretary to Council, Mr. David Semawon Ogungbe, announcing that both UTME and Direct Entry candidates who selected LASUSTECH as their first choice are eligible to apply.

The screening exercise began on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, and will close on Sunday, August 31, 2025.

To qualify for the exercise, UTME candidates must have scored a minimum of 195 and possess the required O’Level subjects at credit level in not more than two sittings. Direct Entry candidates must also have obtained the JAMB Direct Entry Form and chosen LASUSTECH as their preferred institution.

In line with the university’s admission policy, only candidates of Lagos State origin who have successfully undergone screening by the State of Origin Verification Committee (SOVC) will be considered.

Applicants are to complete their registration online through the university’s portal at https://admission.lasustech.edu.ng, and are advised to consult https://requirement.lasustech.edu.ng for detailed programme requirements. The university emphasized that candidates are not required to visit the campus physically during the screening process.

Furthermore, candidates must upload their O’Level results on the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) as part of the admission process.

This year’s ₦10,000 screening fee represents a 400% increase from the ₦2,000 charged in the previous admission cycle.
