Scholars and industry leaders have called for the integration of business administration with knowledge leadership to drive sustainable growth, national transformation, and global competitiveness.
They made the call at the 2025 Membership Investiture, Induction and Certification Programme of the Institute of Business Administration and Knowledge Management (IBAKM) and the Chartered Institute of Business Administration and Knowledge Management (CIBAKM), held at Covenant University, Ogun State.
In his keynote, Prof. Obinna Iwueke said organisations must embrace agility and foresight, combining structured administration with knowledge leadership to boost innovation, human capital, and economic stability. He pointed to examples from Toyota, Singapore, and Germany as proof that integrated systems enhance competitiveness.
Prof. Monday Anyairo, a member of IBAKM’s Governing Council, described the programme as vital for professional growth, while IBAKM Global Advisory Council Chairman, Dr. Gangadhar Joshi, stressed innovation as the cornerstone of future economies.
The event also featured the conferment of fellowships and the induction of new members, ending with a call for stronger public-private-academic partnerships and investment in knowledge-driven policies for Nigeria’s and Africa’s competitiveness.
