Dr. Daniel Olukoya, the General Overseer of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), recently made a heartfelt visit to the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Oke-Igan Odubanjo Regional Headquarters, in Akure, Ondo State.
This visit was not just a routine engagement but a deeply symbolic return to a place he once called his spiritual home during his formative years.
The occasion was marked by a warm reception from the Regional Superintendent, Pastor Gideon Obiwale, who shared the memorable visit with the public via Facebook. Obiwale wrote, “General Overseer, MFM, Dr. D.K. Olukoya, on his courtesy visit to CAC, Oke-Igan Odubanjo Regional Headquarters, Akure (his source). Received by the Regional Superintendent, Pastor G.O. Obiwale.” Pictures and videos of the event captured the significance of the moment, highlighting the warmth and mutual respect between Olukoya and the church community.
This visit is not Dr. Olukoya’s first effort to reconnect with his roots in Akure. In 2021, he revisited his alma mater, St. John’s CAC Primary School, Oke-Igan, where he had received his elementary education. At that time, he undertook the renovation of the school, which had fallen into a state of disrepair. His intervention transformed the institution, giving it a new lease on life and elevating it to a modern, 21st-century standard.
This act of generosity demonstrated his commitment to giving back to the community that played a pivotal role in shaping his early life.
The significance of Olukoya’s recent visit to CAC, Oke-Igan, lies not only in its personal sentiment but also in its reflection of his enduring connection to his roots. As a prominent spiritual leader with a global following, his decision to revisit and honor his beginnings underscores the importance of gratitude and humility, even at the height of success.
