The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed the safe recovery of Odera Gregory Mbadiwe, the 33-year-old brother of Big Brother Naija stars, Ozee and Ocee Mbadiwe. Odera was reported missing on September 1, after he was last seen on Monday morning at Victoria Island, Lagos.
The news of his disappearance went viral after the Mbadiwe twins announced it on Instagram, sharing his photo and appealing to the public for help. Their posts attracted massive attention, including support from Nollywood stars like Ebele Okaro and Juliet Ibrahim.
According to a statement by the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Babaseyi Oluseyi, Odera was found on Thursday morning in the Mile 2 area following actionable tips from the public.
“Odera Gregory Mbadiwe, who was earlier reported missing, has been located by police detectives at about 8:30 a.m. today. He was found hale and hearty, though in a distressed state,” Oluseyi said.
He added that Odera was reunited with his family and is currently receiving medical care. The vehicle he was last seen with was also recovered during the operation.
The case attracted significant public attention due to the Mbadiwe twins’ fame from the No Loose Guard season of Big Brother Naija.
